About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship
The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in New Plymouth, ID, is dedicated to nurturing a new generation of advocates and educators who are committed to building a just, sustainable food system. Our fellowship offers a unique six-month experiential learning opportunity at the Allegheny Farm Campus, where selected Fellows receive comprehensive training in organic agriculture, community gardening, and food literacy. We emphasize practical skills that empower participants to champion healthy food access within their communities. Throughout their journey, Fellows engage in collaborations that include growing diversified crops, coordinating educational initiatives, and supporting local farmers' markets. The Fellowship not only makes education accessible by eliminating tuition fees but also fosters lasting relationships with regional non-profits during the Community Action Year. Through this program, we are excited to cultivate leaders who will drive meaningful change in food systems across their communities, encouraging improved health and ecological practices.
