The Fellowship also encourages integration of food and ecological literacy in school curricula, supporting farmers markets and expanding distribution channels for healthier food access. Over six months of immersive, residential training at AMI’s Allegheny Farm Campus, selected Fellows prepare for a Community Action Year where they collaborate with local non-profits to put their training into practice. Applications are due by March of the program year, with the Fellowship running from May to October.
