The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Osburn, ID, is dedicated to cultivating a new generation of advocates for a just and sustainable food system. Our program sponsors and trains Fellows to engage in both practical and impactful initiatives that emphasize social, environmental, and economic justice in food systems. Through a hands-on, experiential six-month residency at our farm, participants gain valuable knowledge in organic agriculture and food education. They work closely with community partners to grow diverse crops, implement educational programs in health care, maintain school gardens, and promote food literacy across various educational settings. Additionally, Fellows contribute to farmers markets and direct-to-consumer initiatives, enhancing access to healthy foods in the community. Following their residency, they embark on a Community Action Year, applying their skills alongside regional non-profits. We're committed to ensuring inclusivity by providing this transformative education free of tuition. Applications are welcomed yearly, with a deadline in March for opportunities running from May to October.
