The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Paul, ID, is dedicated to cultivating future leaders who advocate for a fair and sustainable food system. Our program empowers Fellows through comprehensive training and hands-on experiences at the Allegheny Farm, emphasizing social, environmental, and economic justice. We offer organic food system education without tuition fees to ensure accessibility for all aspiring advocates. During the six-month residency, Fellows engage in diverse activities such as growing and distributing crops, running educational initiatives in health care, maintaining community gardens, and enhancing food literacy in schools. Beyond the farm, they will spend a Community Action Year collaborating with regional nonprofits to promote food assistance and healthy food access, supporting farmers' markets, and mentoring the next generation of leaders. Applications are welcome until March each year, with experiences taking place from May to October.
