About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship
The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Pocatello, ID, is dedicated to nurturing a new generation of advocates and educators who champion a food system rooted in social, environmental, and economic justice. This transformative program offers a unique six-month, experiential study at our beautiful Allegheny Farm Campus, where selected Fellows gain hands-on education in organic food systems without the burden of tuition fees, promoting true accessibility. Throughout their experience, Fellows engage in a variety of impactful initiatives, such as growing and distributing diverse crops, developing educational programs in health care, maintaining community gardens, and enhancing food literacy in schools. They also contribute to local farmers markets and establish direct-to-consumer channels to improve access to healthy food options. Following their fellowship, participants embark on a Community Action Year, applying their knowledge in collaboration with regional non-profit organizations to further elevate community food initiatives. We invite passionate individuals to take part in this important work and help build a sustainable food future together.
