First Steps is dedicated to supporting pregnant women in Potlatch, ID, by addressing their medical and social service needs through a comprehensive network of qualified professionals, including registered nurses, dietitians, and behavioral health specialists. Our program offers a wide range of essential services such as pregnancy testing, assistance in securing prenatal care, educational resources about pregnancy, labor, and delivery, as well as diet and nutrition counseling. We recognize the importance of holistic care, providing guidance on baby care, parenting skills, and infant safety, including car seat safety. Additionally, we assist with accessing dental and vision care, family planning services, paternity information, housing support, and transportation. Substance abuse counseling and breastfeeding support are also an integral part of our mission. All pregnant women enrolled in Washington Apple Health (Medicaid) are eligible for our services, and those without medical coverage may also qualify to ensure that every woman receives the care she deserves during this critical time.
