The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Shelley, ID is dedicated to cultivating a new generation of leaders committed to creating a food system grounded in social, environmental, and economic justice. This transformative program offers hands-on training and education in organic food systems and empowers Fellows to engage with their communities by growing and distributing diverse crops, facilitating health education, and developing food literacy initiatives within schools and gardens. By eliminating tuition costs, we ensure accessibility for all participants, who will spend six enriching months at the Allegheny Farm Campus, followed by a Community Action Year where they partner with local non-profits to effect lasting change. Our mission includes supporting farmers markets, advocating for broader access to healthy foods, and nurturing the next cohort of passionate food advocates. Applications are accepted until March for experiences running from May to October each year.
