Located in Star, Idaho, the Farm & Food Systems Fellowship is dedicated to nurturing the next generation of advocates for a sustainable food system that is just and accessible to all. The Fellowship provides free, hands-on training focused on organic food production and community engagement. Participants will immerse themselves in a dynamic six-month program at our Allegheny Farm, where they will gain practical experience in growing diverse crops, managing community gardens, and promoting food literacy. Through collaborative projects, Fellows will empower local communities by supporting farmers' markets, enhancing access to fresh food, and conducting educational initiatives in schools and health care settings. Following their training, Fellows will embark on a Community Action Year, leveraging their skills in partnership with local non-profits to enact real change. With applications accepted until March each year, we invite passionate individuals to join us in reshaping the food landscape, ensuring healthier futures for our communities.
