The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Wendell, ID, is dedicated to cultivating the next generation of advocates and educators who champion a food system that prioritizes social, environmental, and economic justice. Our program fosters a transformative six-month experiential training at our farm campus, empowering Fellows to gain hands-on knowledge in organic food systems. We actively promote accessibility through a tuition-free fellowship model, ensuring that individuals from all backgrounds can engage in this vital work. Throughout their journey, Fellows collaborate with local partners to grow diverse crops, develop innovative health education sessions, manage community gardens, and enhance food literacy initiatives in schools. They also support farmers' markets and direct-to-consumer programs, working towards increased access to healthy foods in their communities. Following their fellowship, participants embark on a meaningful Community Action Year, applying their insights and skills with regional non-profits.
