Kumler Outreach Ministries operates a welcoming choice food pantry in Springfield, IL, providing essential food assistance to those in need. Each weekday, individuals have the empowering option to select their food items, allowing them to choose what best suits their families, rather than receiving pre-packaged goods. Our pantry offers a variety of nutritious options, including fresh produce in season from our local partnership with the Central Illinois Foodbank and farmers' markets, as well as staple items like spaghetti, soup, crackers, and canned goods. Clients can access enough food for three to four days, with the goal of alleviating food insecurity in our community. A referral for food is required through local social service agencies, and individuals may utilize our pantry once every 30 days, ensuring that assistance remains accessible for those who need it most.
