My name is Cynthia Plymale Ward MSSW, LCSW. I received my bachelor’s degree in Sociology from the University of Louisville in1999. A few short years later in 2003, I received my master’s degree from the University of Louisville Kent School of Social Work. I graduated with honors and received the Sophonisba P. Breckinridge Alumni Award for outstanding potential professional leadership. In my 22 years as a social worker, I have enjoyed working in multiple roles including medical social worker, crisis management, adult mental health therapist and adolescent therapy for a dual diagnosis program I created and implemented. I am trained in many different treatment modalities with an emphasis on DBT and grief yoga to help regulate emotion. I believe in a holistic approach to mental health and incorporating meditation, mindfulness and coping skills development. In my personal time I enjoy yoga, gardening and helping in my community.
