Early Head Start (EHS) in Mount Vernon, IN, is dedicated to fostering the growth and development of families with children from birth to three years old, as well as supporting pregnant and teen mothers across Vanderburgh, Posey, and Gibson counties. Our mission is to provide comprehensive, family-centered services that cater to individual needs, ensuring a warm, safe, and responsive environment for every child. We offer quality childcare for eligible families, specialized support for children with disabilities, and resources for expectant mothers and fathers. Families can access nutritional meals, health screenings, educational workshops, and career development opportunities, all aimed at building self-confidence and enhancing character. Additionally, we facilitate smooth transitions into the Head Start program and offer a full-day childcare option for working or studying parents. With our services available for at least 10 hours a day, we strive to meet the urgent needs of our community.
