The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Benton, KY, is dedicated to cultivating a generation of advocates and educators committed to creating a food system that is socially, environmentally, and economically equitable. This transformative program sponsors and trains Fellows to engage in hands-on experiences at the Allegheny Farm, providing comprehensive organic food system education without tuition fees to ensure accessibility for all participants. Throughout the Fellowship, individuals work on diverse initiatives such as growing and distributing crops, implementing health education sessions, maintaining community gardens, and integrating food literacy into local schools. Selected Fellows undertake a six-month immersive residency followed by a Community Action Year, where they can apply their skills in collaboration with regional nonprofits.
