The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Corbin, KY, empowers individuals to become impactful advocates for a food system that is just and sustainable. Through hands-on training and education in organic food systems, our program fosters community leadership while enhancing food access in the region. Fellows engage directly with partners to grow and distribute diverse crops, promote health education, maintain school gardens, and support local farmers markets. By integrating food and ecological literacy into educational initiatives, we cultivate a thriving community dedicated to equitable food practices. This transformative fellowship includes a six-month immersive experience at AMI’s Allegheny Farm, followed by a Community Action Year where Fellows utilize their expertise in collaboration with local nonprofits. Our commitment to accessibility means we do not charge tuition, ensuring that every aspiring leader has the opportunity to equip themselves with essential skills and knowledge. Applications are accepted until March, with the fellowship running from May to October.
