The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Covington, KY, is dedicated to empowering the next generation of leaders in food sustainability and justice. By sponsoring aspiring advocates and educators, this fellowship fosters a model of food assistance that prioritizes social, environmental, and economic equity. Our unique program offers hands-on training in organic food systems, where Fellows engage in growing and distributing diverse crops, conducting innovative health education, maintaining community gardens, and incorporating food and ecological literacy into schools. Over six immersive months at our Allegheny Farm Campus, participants gain invaluable experience, followed by a Community Action Year, where they collaborate with regional non-profit organizations to apply their knowledge and skills. We believe in removing barriers to education, which is why we do not charge tuition, ensuring that our program remains accessible to all committed individuals. Applications are open until March each year, with experiences running from May to October.
