About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Crestwood, KY, is dedicated to empowering the next generation of leaders in sustainable agriculture and food equity. Through our comprehensive program, we offer hands-on training and education focused on creating a just food system that is socially, environmentally, and economically responsible. Without charging tuition, we ensure accessibility for all aspiring Fellows who engage in a six-month immersive experience at the Allegheny Farm Campus. Participants will learn to cultivate and distribute diverse crops, implement innovative educational initiatives, maintain community gardens, and promote food and ecological literacy. Our Fellows also collaborate with regional non-profits during a Community Action Year to apply their skills in real-world settings, enhancing access to healthy foods and supporting community food coalition activities. Applications are typically accepted until March, with the program running from May to October.
