About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship
The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Danville, KY, is dedicated to nurturing the next generation of advocates and educators in organic food systems. This immersive program offers participants the opportunity to gain practical experience and in-depth education on creating a food system that is socially, environmentally, and economically just. Through hands-on training, Fellows engage in diverse initiatives including growing and distributing crops, running community gardens, and developing programs that enhance food and ecological literacy in local schools. By providing mentorship and supporting local farmers markets and direct-to-consumer programs, our mission is to expand access to healthy foods while fostering a strong sense of community. The Fellowship encompasses six months of experiential learning followed by a year of community action, empowering participants to make a tangible impact on their communities. We invite passionate individuals to apply for this transformative experience, with applications due by March each year, and our program running from May to October.
