About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Elizabethtown, KY, is dedicated to nurturing the next generation of advocates for a just and sustainable food system. Our program empowers Fellows through hands-on training in organic food systems, enabling them to educate and inspire their communities. Participants engage in diverse activities, including growing and distributing crops, maintaining community gardens, and promoting food literacy in schools. We foster partnerships with local non-profits to enhance access to healthy food and support farmers' markets, ensuring our efforts are rooted in social, environmental, and economic justice. This immersive experience spans six months at our Allegheny Farm Campus, followed by a Community Action Year, where Fellows apply their skills and knowledge to make a tangible impact in their communities. We believe in accessibility and do not charge tuition, welcoming dedicated individuals to apply by March each year for a transformative experience from May to October.
