About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship
The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Frankfort, KY, is dedicated to cultivating future leaders in sustainable food systems through a robust, hands-on educational experience. Our program empowers passionate individuals to become advocates for a food system that prioritizes social, environmental, and economic justice. Fellows undergo six months of immersive training at our Allegheny Farm Campus, where they learn about organic agriculture, community engagement, and food literacy without the burden of tuition fees, making this opportunity accessible to all. Following their training, participants enter a Community Action Year, collaborating with regional non-profits to grow and distribute diverse crops, implement health-focused educational sessions, maintain community gardens, and enhance local farmers' markets. Through this fellowship, we are committed to developing equitable food pathways and nurturing a generation that is well-equipped to address food-related challenges in their communities.
