The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Grayson, KY, is dedicated to empowering emerging leaders who advocate for a just food system. We sponsor and train Fellows to become passionate educators and change-makers, focusing on social, environmental, and economic justice in our food practices. Our program offers comprehensive organic food system education, emphasizing accessibility by not charging tuition. Fellows engage in hands-on learning at our Allegheny Farm, where they can participate in crop cultivation, establish educational programs in innovative healthcare, maintain community gardens, and promote food literacy in schools. They also support local farmers markets and develop distribution channels to enhance access to healthy foods while collaborating with community food coalitions. Over a six-month immersive experience at our campus, followed by a Community Action Year, our Fellows are equipped with skills to make a tangible impact through partnerships with non-profit organizations in the region. Applications for this transformative program are due by March each year, with the fellowship running from May to October.
