The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Greenup, KY, is dedicated to cultivating the next generation of advocates and educators for a just and sustainable food system. Sponsored by the Allegheny Mountain Institute, this fellowship offers a unique six-month experiential program at the scenic Allegheny Farm Campus, where selected Fellows immerse themselves in organic food system education and hands-on training. Without charging tuition, the Fellowship ensures accessibility to all aspiring leaders, empowering them to grow diversified crops, implement innovative health initiatives, and foster community gardens. Throughout their journey, Fellows will engage in impactful activities like teaching food literacy in schools, supporting local farmers' markets, and enhancing access to healthy food within their communities. After their training, participants enter a Community Action Year, partnering with regional non-profit organizations to apply their skills and continue making a difference.
