About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship
Based in Harrodsburg, KY, the Farm & Food Systems Fellowship is dedicated to nurturing the next generation of leaders in sustainable food systems. Through comprehensive training and hands-on experience, our Fellows are empowered to advocate for food systems that prioritize social, environmental, and economic justice. Our program, offered at the Allegheny Farm, is free of tuition, ensuring accessibility for all aspiring advocates. Over a six-month experiential learning journey, selected participants engage in organic farming practices, educate communities about food and ecology, and collaborate with local non-profits to enhance food accessibility and support farmers' markets. With a focus on practical solutions, our Fellows gain the skills needed to make meaningful contributions in areas such as community garden management, crop distribution, and health education. Applications are accepted until March, with the immersive fellowship running from May to October, offering a transformative experience in community food leadership.
