The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship, located in Hebron, KY, is dedicated to nurturing leaders who advocate for a food system that promotes social, environmental, and economic justice. Through comprehensive training and hands-on experience at the Allegheny Farm, our Fellows engage in organic food system education that empowers them to implement meaningful changes within their communities. We focus on sustainable practices such as growing and distributing diversified crops, maintaining school and community gardens, and teaching food and ecological literacy. Our program not only enhances food assistance initiatives through support for farmers markets and direct-to-consumer programs but also fosters collaboration with non-profit organizations to build stronger, healthier communities. By making this Fellowship accessible without tuition costs, we aim to support passionate individuals in their journey to become impactful teachers and advocates in the food movement. Applications are accepted until March each year for experiences running from May to October.
