About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

At the Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Hodgenville, KY, we are dedicated to cultivating a just and sustainable food system through education and empowerment. Our Fellowship program supports individuals on their journey to becoming advocates and educators, focusing on social, environmental, and economic justice in food production. We offer a comprehensive, tuition-free training that includes hands-on experiences at our Allegheny Farm, where selected Fellows work collaboratively to grow and distribute diverse crops, maintain community gardens, and promote food and ecological literacy in local schools. Participants also engage in vital community activities such as supporting farmers markets and developing channels for increased access to healthy foods. Over six months of immersive, experiential learning, followed by a year of actionable community projects with regional non-profits, our Fellows emerge as leaders ready to impact their communities significantly. Applications are accepted until March each year, with experiences typically running from May to October.
