The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Jackson, KY, is dedicated to nurturing advocates for a just and sustainable food system. Through a tuition-free program, we empower selected Fellows with hands-on, organic food system education, promoting environmental stewardship, economic equity, and social justice. Our innovative curriculum prepares Fellows to grow and distribute diverse crops, implement health-focused educational programs, and maintain community and school gardens. By integrating food and ecological literacy into educational settings and supporting local farmers' markets, our Fellows make a tangible impact on community access to healthy foods. Over a transformative six-month residency at our Allegheny Farm Campus, followed by a Community Action Year, we equip Fellows to collaborate with regional non-profits and lead initiatives that foster food equity and resilience. Applications are welcomed annually, with a submission deadline in March for the program running from May to October.
