The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship, based in La Grange, KY, is dedicated to empowering individuals to become champions of a just and sustainable food system. Sponsored by the Allegheny Mountain Institute, this fellowship offers participants a unique opportunity to engage in comprehensive, hands-on training focused on organic food systems and community-based agricultural practices. Without charging tuition, we ensure accessibility for all aspiring fellows. Throughout the program, participants engage in a range of impactful activities, including cultivating diverse crops on a market-style farm, leading educational initiatives for innovative healthcare, and maintaining community and school gardens. Our fellows also learn to integrate food and ecological literacy into educational settings, support local farmers' markets, and collaborate with regional non-profits during their Community Action Year. As leaders in promoting food equity and healthy choices, our fellows are equipped to make meaningful contributions to their communities, paving the way for a more equitable food future.
