About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Lebanon, KY, is dedicated to cultivating a new generation of leaders who advocate for a food system that champions social, environmental, and economic justice. We empower our Fellows through an immersive six-month residential program at Allegheny Farm, where they receive comprehensive organic food system education and hands-on experience. Our curriculum emphasizes practical skills such as growing and distributing diverse crops, implementing innovative health care education, and maintaining community gardens. Fellows engage in direct activities that promote food and ecological literacy in schools, support local farmers markets, and help establish distribution channels for increased access to healthy foods. Following their training, Fellows embark on a Community Action Year, collaborating with regional non-profit organizations to apply their knowledge and foster community food initiatives. With no tuition fees, we prioritize accessibility to ensure that passionate individuals can join us in creating impactful change in the food systems of their communities.
