About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

At the Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Manchester, KY, we empower individuals to become advocates for a just food system that values social, environmental, and economic sustainability. Our fellowship program offers comprehensive, hands-on training without tuition fees, ensuring greater access for all eager to learn. Through experiential education, participants engage in growing and distributing diverse crops on market-style farms, implementing innovative health care educational sessions, and maintaining community gardens. Our Fellows integrate food and ecological literacy into school curricula, support farmers markets, and develop distribution channels to improve access to healthy foods. Spanning six months at our Allegheny Farm Campus, followed by a year of community action with regional non-profits, this fellowship nurtures the next generation of food system leaders. Applications are open until March each year, with fellowships running from May to October.
