The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Mayfield, KY, empowers passionate individuals to become advocates for a just and sustainable food system. Sponsored by the Allegheny Mountain Institute, this program offers a tuition-free, hands-on education in organic farming and food systems, ensuring accessibility for all Fellows. Participants engage in diverse activities such as growing and distributing crops, implementing health-focused educational sessions, maintaining community gardens, and mentoring the next generation of change-makers. Throughout their six-month residency at the Allegheny Farm Campus, Fellows gain practical experience while collaborating with regional non-profits during their Community Action Year to enhance food access and ecological literacy.
