The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Paris, KY, nurtures the next generation of advocates for a just and sustainable food system. Sponsored by the Allegheny Mountain Institute, this innovative program offers a unique opportunity for Fellows to engage in effective organic food system education without the burden of tuition fees, promoting access for all. Over a transformative six-month fellowship, participants immerse themselves at the Allegheny Farm, gaining hands-on experience in growing and distributing a variety of crops on a market-style farm, leading educational sessions that enhance community health, and fostering food and ecological literacy in local schools. They participate in vital initiatives, including supporting farmers markets, enhancing distribution channels for healthy foods, and mentoring future Fellows.
