The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship based in Vine Grove, KY empowers aspiring leaders to promote a food system rooted in social, environmental, and economic justice. Hosted by Allegheny Mountain Institute at the scenic Allegheny Farm, this fellowship offers a comprehensive six-month experiential program that includes organic food system education, community farming, and hands-on mentorship. Selected fellows engage in diverse activities such as growing and distributing crops on a market-style farm, maintaining school gardens, and leading health-focused educational sessions. By fostering collaboration with local non-profits, fellows gain real-world experience while developing initiatives that enhance food access, support community food coalitions, and advocate for ecological and food literacy.
