The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship, located in Walton, KY, is dedicated to cultivating the next generation of leaders in sustainable food practices. Through hands-on training and immersive experiences at the Allegheny Farm, selected Fellows engage in transformative education focused on building a food system that is socially, environmentally, and economically equitable. Our program offers comprehensive training in organic food systems, enabling participants to implement innovative health care educational sessions, maintain community and school gardens, and promote food literacy in educational settings. Throughout the six-month residency followed by a Community Action Year, Fellows work alongside regional non-profits, developing distribution channels that enhance access to healthy foods and supporting community food initiatives. We believe in accessibility, which is why there is no tuition fee for this Fellowship, ensuring that all passionate individuals can apply and contribute to powerful food systems change.
