About Edwina Martin House Brockton Massachusetts
Edwina Martin House has been serving women between the ages of 20 and 65 in their journey to overcome addiction since 1982. This Brockton-based residential program provides structured support for up to 21 women, with accommodations for two infants. The treatment approach combines evidence-based practices rooted in the 12-step model, motivational interviewing, and trauma-informed therapy. Residents participate in a comprehensive program that includes counseling, yoga, meditation, overdose prevention education, and family support services. Through specialized programs like Seeking Safety and initiatives focused on building self-esteem, women receive holistic care that addresses emotional, physical, and mental healing within a dignified, structured community environment. For those completing the primary treatment program, Edwina Martin House offers continued support through two graduate homes: Blake House and Paul F. McDevitt House. These sober living environments help women transition back into independent living while maintaining their recovery. The graduate homes provide a guided path toward increased personal responsibility and lasting sobriety, allowing residents to build stronger foundations for their future while remaining connected to a supportive recovery community.
