Home Delivered Meals, a vital service of the Montachusett Opportunity Council in Gardner, MA, is dedicated to providing nutritious meals to seniors who face challenges in meal preparation due to health issues or transportation barriers. Our Meals on Wheels program ensures that each meal meets one-third of the USDA’s Daily Recommended Dietary Allowances, including options tailored for those requiring a no added salt diet or special dietary considerations based on medical needs, available with a doctor’s prescription. We understand the importance of both nutrition and convenience, which is why we aim to deliver warmth and support with every meal. To help sustain this essential service, a voluntary contribution of $3.00 per meal is suggested, and we provide participants with an easy way to contribute on a monthly basis.
