Located in Jamaica Plain, MA, The Teaching Kitchen is dedicated to empowering patients and their families through the art of healthy cooking. Our mission is to provide practical cooking classes that teach individuals how to prepare nutritious meals while making the most of the resources from our Preventive Food Pantry. We offer simple, cost-effective recipes tailored to various health needs, such as weight management, diabetes, cardiac rehabilitation, and cancer recovery, ensuring everyone has access to essential nutritional education. In light of the pandemic, we have adapted our approach by hosting engaging live ZOOM cooking classes to promote healthy eating in a fun, family-friendly environment. Everyone is welcome to join us as we gather to cook together, fostering a sense of community and support.
