The Food Pantry at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Medford in Lexington, MA, is dedicated to providing vital food assistance to those in need, including low-income families, single parents, senior citizens, unemployed individuals, disabled veterans, and the working poor. Our mission is to ensure that everyone has access to nutritious food to meet their basic dietary needs. We offer emergency food services, where one member from each household can receive pre-bagged food weekly during our adjusted operational hours. To prioritize the safety of our clients during COVID-19, we have implemented a contact-minimizing system that includes outdoor distribution and recommended social distancing measures. We encourage clients to bring reusable bags for easier transport of their food supplies, reaffirming our commitment to serving the community with care and respect for everyone’s health and wellbeing.
