Located in Somerville, MA, the Food Pantry at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Medford is dedicated to providing essential food assistance to individuals and families in need. We cater to a diverse community, including low-income families, single parents, seniors, unemployed individuals, disabled veterans, and others facing food insecurity. Our mission is to meet basic nutritional needs with dignity and care, offering pre-bagged emergency food to ensure safety and efficiency during service, especially during the ongoing challenges posed by COVID-19. Each week, families can receive food assistance when they visit us, and we encourage clients to bring reusable bags to ease the carrying of their provisions. Together, we strive to create a supportive environment, ensuring that no one in our community goes hungry.
