Grocery Plus in Bethesda, MD, is dedicated to enhancing the well-being of seniors by providing essential food assistance tailored to their nutritional needs. Our program merges the USDA Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP) with the Senior Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program, ensuring seniors aged 60 and over receive 30-40 lbs. of healthy groceries each month, along with the option to choose fresh produce and various pantry items. During the summer, we further support our participants with farmers market vouchers that enable access to fresh fruits and vegetables at local markets.
