The Living with Type 2 Diabetes Program in Alfred, ME, is dedicated to supporting individuals newly diagnosed with type 2 diabetes through a comprehensive and free 12-month initiative. Participants receive six informative e-booklets designed to guide them in diabetes management and personal health decisions. Our monthly e-newsletters, available in both English and Spanish, deliver seasonal tips and resources to empower participants in their journey. The program also highlights local community events to foster engagement and connection. Additionally, enrollees who provide their phone number gain access to our monthly Ask the Experts Q&A series, where they can directly engage with ADA experts, learn about the crucial link between diabetes and heart health, and participate in fun giveaways, all aimed at helping them thrive while managing diabetes.
