Maine Harvest Bucks (MHB), a program by the Maine Federation of Farmers’ Markets, is dedicated to enhancing food access for low-income shoppers in Bangor, ME, by providing nutrition incentives at local farmers’ markets, CSA farms, and farm stands. Through our initiative, participants can earn $5 in Maine Harvest Bucks for every $10 spent using SNAP/EBT, making fresh, local produce more affordable and accessible. These Bucks can be utilized immediately or saved for future visits, empowering families to make healthy choices without financial strain. We invite you to join us in promoting community well-being through healthy eating and support local agriculture.
