Maine Harvest Bucks (MHB), part of the Maine Federation of Farmers’ Markets, is dedicated to supporting low-income shoppers in Belfast, ME, by providing crucial nutrition incentives at local farmers’ markets, CSA farms, and farm stands. Through our program, participants can earn $5 in Maine Harvest Bucks for every $10 spent using SNAP/EBT, making fresh, local produce more accessible and affordable. These bucks can be utilized immediately or saved for future use, ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to enjoy the health benefits of fresh foods. Our mission is to empower the community by bridging the gap between low-income families and nutritious options right in their neighborhoods.
