Maine Harvest Bucks (MHB), a program of the Maine Federation of Farmers’ Markets, is dedicated to empowering low-income families in Berwick, ME, by enhancing their access to fresh, local produce. By offering nutrition incentives, MHB provides $5 in Maine Harvest Bucks for every $10 spent using SNAP/EBT at our participating farmers' markets, CSA farms, and farm stands. This initiative not only alleviates food insecurity but also encourages families to choose healthy options. The Bucks can be utilized on the same day or saved for future use, making nutritious food more accessible and affordable in our community.
