Located in Brewer, ME, the MOVE! Weight Management Program is dedicated to enhancing the health and well-being of Veterans through targeted weight management and health promotion initiatives. Our mission is to screen every Veteran receiving care at VA facilities for obesity, connecting them with appropriate weight management services that align with their individual needs and preferences. MOVE! offers a variety of options, including engaging group sessions, convenient telephone lifestyle coaching, TeleMOVE! for in-home support, and the MOVE! Coach mobile app for self-guided weight management. For those who require additional assistance, we also provide access to weight loss medications and bariatric surgery after exploring initial MOVE! strategies.
