About Maine Senior FarmShare Program
The Maine Senior FarmShare Program in Cape Elizabeth, ME, is dedicated to supporting income-eligible older adults by providing them with the opportunity to receive a complimentary share of fresh, local produce from Maine farmers during the growing season. Each year, starting in April, seniors can sign up directly with participating farmers to access shares valued at $50. While the program aims to enhance food security and nutrition among seniors, shares are limited and distributed on a first-come, first-served basis, and meeting eligibility criteria does not guarantee participation. We are committed to connecting our cherished senior community with the best of Maine's seasonal bounty, fostering health and well-being through fresh, locally sourced food.
