The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Casco, ME, is dedicated to nurturing the next generation of leaders in the sustainable food movement. Through a unique sponsorship model, we provide comprehensive training that empowers Fellows to advocate for food systems that prioritize social, environmental, and economic justice. Our program, featuring organic food system education, equips participants to grow and distribute diverse crops, implement health education initiatives, maintain community gardens, and enhance food literacy in educational settings. Fellows engage in six months of hands-on learning at the Allegheny Farm Campus, followed by a Community Action Year to apply their expertise in collaboration with local non-profit organizations. We invite passionate advocates to apply by March each year for an enriching experience running from May to October, fostering increased access to healthy foods and supporting vibrant community food initiatives.
