The Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program (EFNEP) in Fort Kent, ME, is dedicated to empowering income-eligible adults with children through valuable nutrition and health education at no cost. Our mission is to enhance well-being by teaching participants how to cook nutritious recipes, select healthy foods, save money while grocery shopping, ensure food safety, and increase physical activity. While our University of Maine Cooperative Extension facilities are temporarily closed due to health precautions, we continue to provide essential EFNEP classes online, offering personalized instruction either one-on-one or in small groups.
