Located in Freeport, ME, Direct Assistance by The Salvation Army offers essential support to individuals and families facing hardship. Our comprehensive program provides emergency food assistance, clothing, and housing support, as well as vital services including fuel and energy aid, personal hygiene kits, and medical assistance. We strive to help community members regain stability by offering transportation support and connecting them with additional resources. For residents of Old Orchard Beach, Saco, Biddeford, Dayton, and Arundel, we also provide rent assistance of up to $150 for qualified applicants.
