Maine Harvest Bucks (MHB), a program of the Maine Federation of Farmers’ Markets, is dedicated to providing vital food assistance to low-income shoppers in Hollis Center, ME, and surrounding areas. Our initiative empowers individuals by offering nutrition incentives, allowing them to earn $5 in Maine Harvest Bucks for every $10 spent with SNAP/EBT at participating farmers’ markets, CSA farms, and local farm stands. This not only enhances access to fresh, local produce but also supports community agriculture and sustains our local economy. Participants can utilize their earned Bucks immediately or save them for future purchases, ensuring they have the flexibility to prioritize their food needs. Join us in promoting healthy eating and community resilience through accessible food options.
