Maine Harvest Bucks in Kennebunkport, ME, is dedicated to supporting low-income shoppers by making fresh, local produce accessible through nutrition incentives at participating farmers' markets, CSA farms, and farm stands. When participants spend $10 using SNAP/EBT, they receive an additional $5 in Maine Harvest Bucks, effectively enhancing their purchasing power for healthy food. These bonuses can be used on the same day or saved for future visits, ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to enjoy nutritious foods. Through this initiative, we aim to strengthen community connections while also promoting local agriculture.
