The Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program (EFNEP) at the University of Maine Cooperative Extension in Litchfield, ME, is dedicated to empowering income-eligible adults with children to make informed nutritional choices. Offering a range of free services for those on programs like SNAP, WIC, or Head Start, EFNEP provides essential nutrition and health education that teaches participants how to cook nutritious recipes, select healthy foods, save money during grocery shopping, ensure food safety, and increase physical activity. While our physical locations are currently closed to prioritize community health, our dedicated educators are available to conduct engaging nutrition education classes through virtual platforms, both individually and in small groups.
